THE top two teams both secured victories in the latest round of matches in the All Saints Indoor Cricket League on Sunday,
Rossington Main made easy work in beating Parklands, thanks to an excellent all-round performance from Joel Evans.
He top-scored with 42 runs and then took 2-5 with the ball.
He was given good support with the bat by Stewart Groves(32) as Main kept up the pressure on leaders Hatfield Town.
Hatfield Town had to work much harder for their win and they had to rely on all their previous experience to overcome a strong Warmsworth side looking to make a late challenge in the title race.
Town posted a useful total despite a slow start. In-form batsman Chris Liddle (26) and he received good support from John Severn and Chris Stothard, both making 25.
Warmsworth were up with the run rate at the halfway stage, but Town secured the win with some accurate bowling and athletic fielding.
Tom Whitaker (30) and Mark Shanks (25) were the main contributors as the Common Lane side fell 28 runs short of their target
Barnby Dun made easy work in beating Brookhouse, who were restricted to a total of 45-6.
Only Andy Beech showed any resistance with a grafted 26, Josh Oades was the leading wicket taker for Dun claiming 2 for 3.
The Dun batsman made easy work of reaching their target for the loss of just one wicket.
Brodsworth Main conceded against Hatfield Main.
