In Division One at their pretty little home ground, Apperknowle knocked up a useful 199 all out. Hollinsend Methodists got to the target off the last ball with three wickets in hand (G Wright 57*).
Hollinsend head the table by just three points. Second are Holmesfield, who racked up 244-4 (D Ward 86, W Helliwell 62), against champions University Staff, who replied with 171-9 (L Darda 55).
De La Salle sneak into third, after making 164-9 (C Gibirdi 62) at home to Hundall, who were shot out for 42 by opening bowlers Sam Wainwright (4-13) and Simon Willey (4-21).
Grindleford could muster only exactly 100, which Stocksbridge cruised past for the loss of just a single wicket (W Hughes 56).
Parkhead were once again bowled out, this time for 147 by Sheffield Centralians (R Ardley 69; A Gibson 4-60). However veteran off-spinner Ian Davis snaffled 5-6 to send back Cents for 69.
Div Two: Table topping Sheffield Civil Service scored 150-9 (S Wilson 46’ C Higginbottom 4-29) in their match with second placed Ashford in the Water. Dave Whitby’s 5-25 saw Ashford bowled out for 110.
Baslow, the perennial slow starters, sparked into life, their bowlers tearing into the hapless Parkhead II batting.
Andy Hone took a hat-trick and Matthew Cork returned 4-7 as Parkhead were shot out for 37.
Baslow lost a single wicket before completing the win.
Sheffield Collegiate IV hit 198-6 (J Layer 51, R Scholfield 46) and then dismissed Western Park for 130 ( M Hickman 4-25, M Longley 4-40).
University Staff II were all out 132 (D Howie 6-17), which Calver reached with three wickets down (P Boot 57*).
Hathersage reached 171-9 and dismissed Bakewell for 141 (D Hadfield 66).
