ENGLAND were well beaten in the first of the two T20 games against India in Pune.
Their 157-6 proved little problem for India who eased home at 158-5 off 17.5 overs.
Opener Alex Hales struck 56 off 35 balls with seven 4s and two 6s. He and Luke Wright, 34 off 21 balls, put on 68 in seven overs.
But skipper Eoin Morgan made only five before Joss Buttler struck 31 off 21 balls including three 6s.
Tim Bresnan, out first ball, took 2-26 but India took 40 off the first four overs. Yuvraj Singh added to his three wickets with 38 off 21 balls with three 6s, adding 49 in five overs with Virat Kohli, 21.MS Dhoni finished 24no. The second game is tomorrow.
