THERE were excellent victories for Barnsley and Rotherham in yesterday’s matches.

Barnsley now lead the the Solly Sports Yorkshire League by just two points from Rotherham after a convincing 96 run win at Scarborough.

The travellers racked up 205 for 6 before dismissing their hosts for 109.

Rotherham were equally in control at Clifton Lane where a big crowd saw them beat a strong York side by eight wickets. Simon Guy (76no) and James Moorehouse (57no) helped Town to reach their target of 170 with 15.3 overs to spare.
