SECOND-placed Brodsworth Main suffered a losing draw away to Barnsley & District League Division Two leaders South Kirkby.

The home side defied a 6-75 spell by Simon Oldham to make 213-8. Burns 73no, Elliot 48, and Robinson 34, contributed the bulk of Main’s reply.

Bottom club Barnby Dun were dismissed for 121 (Keiron Blades 22) - replying to Darfield’s 159 all out (Bradley Reeves 3-31).

Sprotbrough romped to a 247-run win over Higham. (Tom Kaye 104, Phil Wood 57no, Robert Edmundson 44).

Higham were skittled out for 50 (Adam Buxton 3-2.

Mexborough kept their Division Three title hopes alive with a massive 260-run win over visiting Stocksbridge.

The highlight of Mexborough’s 371-3 was superb double century by Lachlan McKenna (209 not out). He received good support from Steven Honeyman (62) and Callum Honeyman (61).

Steven Honeyman (4-30) and Robert Lee (3-5) helped bundle the Sheffield side out for 111.

Rossington Main retained top spot after beating Thurgoland by 132 runs. Main made 207-6 with Ashton (58 not out), Richardson (53) and Evans (32) providing the bulk of the runs.

The visitors were skittled out for 75 (Evans (4-6, Forster 3-12).
