South Yorkshire cricket followers get the chance to listen to, and question, Yorkshire CCC’s hierarchy tomorrow.

It is part of the county club’s remit to get closer to the grass roots and chief executive Mark Arthur will head up the contingent from Headingley.

Martyn Moxon, the Director of Cricket, will also be there and the player representation will be Ryan Sidebottom and Adil Rashid. BBC local radio cricket commentator Dave Callaghan will host the proceedings which will include a question and answer session with the audience.

It is being put on by Rotherham Phoenix CC at their headquarters at Brinsworth and is open to all cricket followers with a 7.30pm start.

“It’s a fairly informal evening but people will have chance to ask questions and it is a great opportunity for people to interact with the county club,” said organiser Richard Tong who said there had been plenty of interest from local cricket followers.

“Yorkshire feel it is important to get out around the county and they feel these sort of evenings will prove beneficial and informative.”
