Clark is Doncaster League top batsman

HAMPOLE & Skelbrooke's Alan Clark, who scored 367 runs, topped the Doncaster & District Cricket League Section A batting averages with 53.43.

Harworth's Jeff Dickinson headed the Section A bowling averages, his 52 wickets coming at a cost of 6.37 apiece. Rossington Main skipper Colin Sherrington topped the Section B batting averages. He scored 390 runs at an average of 55.71.

Hatfield Main's Jeff Dinsdale took 41 wickets at a cost of 8.8 each to top the Section B bowling averages. Matthew Haywood won the Junior batting averages award. He made 261 runs during the campaign making an average knock of 37.29

Hatfield Main's Andrew Stuart claimed 29 victims to take the Chamberlain Cup awarded to the league's leading wicket-keeper.

Adwick-le-Street's Colin Bishop was one of three joint winners of The Star's weekly honours board batting award. He appeared on the honours board - minimum qualification 50 run (batting) and five wickets (bowling) - four times, as did Gareth Roebuck (Wath) and Callum Dearden (Kilnhurst).

Grimethorpe's Ricky Crompton won the bowling award after featuring six times. He also won the award for the best bowling performance - a 10-43 haul. He took the most wickets (61) during the season. Kilnhurst's Ian Cobb (541) was the top scorer. Whiston's Corey Goodwin produced the best all round performance of the season. Brookhouse's Chris Boot (211) hit the top score.
