BRODSWORTH Main suffered a 71-run Solly Sports South Yorkshire Cricket Alliance League Division Three derby defeat at Eden Grove seconds.

Put into bat, Eden Grove (Nisar Ahmad 49) defied a 6-22 haul by Peter Gibson to make 122. In reply, Main were skittled out for 51 with Umar Ali (4-16) and Nisar Ahmed (3-15) doing the damage.

Handsworth WMC (Ashley Naseby 65, Sajid Hussain 48, Usman Ali 44) beat Brookhouse by 83 runs. Replying to the home team’s 211-8 ( Neil Hemming 4-58), Brookhouse128-7 (Matt Hemming 63 not out) made 128-7. Usman Ali bagged 3-18.

Doncaster Town fourths (Gareth Horrocks 72, Carl Woodiwiss 54) made a match-winning 179-5 after being put in by Forgemasters. The Sheffield side, for whom Shaun Hudson (28 not out) top-scored were all out for 103. David Owens (3-28) and Daniel Horrocks (3-8) shared six of the wickets to fall.

Shiregreen, who won the toss and elected to bat, beat Division Two visitors Wath by 76 runs. Haroon James (35) top-scored in Shiregreen’s 127-9 (Ross Darrell 3-32). James (3-12) and Dylan Collins (3-7) shared bagged six of the wickets to fall in Wath’s 51 all out.

Adwick-on-Dearne suffered a three-wicket Division One derby defeat at home to Edewn Grove

Batting first after winning the toss, Adwick made 102 all out with Rob Horton (28) and Aidan Shaw (25) sharing the honours. Tim Buckle (4-18) and Idris Khan (3-21) were the pick of the Eden Grove attack.

A 4-17 spell by Rob Lee proved in vain as Ray Dunning (28) helped steer Grove to a match-winning 103-7.

Kilnhurst seconds posted a five-wicket win over Hampole & Skelbrooke.

Put into bat, Hampole (Kevin Beresford 40, and David Guest 27), were bowled out for 95. Matthew Beevers picked up 5-26 and Matthew Bacon 3-1.Callum Deardon’s 64 laid the foundations for Kilnhurst’s 101-5.

Darfield 113-3 (Tom Taylor 56 not out) beat Sheffield United fourths by seven wickets in their Premier Division clash.

Wath 104-4 (Patrick Desborough 51), beat Harley by six wickets.
