Hatfield Main’s Adam Berriman is the winner of the South Yorkshire Alliance April/May the Intersports player of the month award.
Adam had an excellent opening to the season with the ball as he bagged 18 wickets conceding just 86 runs at an average of 4.77.
In his opening match of the 2011 season Adam had a 4-14 return against Whiston Methodists followed by figures of 6-13 against Tinsley.
He bagged a further seven wickets in his next two matches with a disappointing end to the month with only one scalp to his name.
Adam was delighted to me chosen as the first winner in the new Alliance League and was looking forward to using his vouchers and thanked Steve Groves & Dave Wynn from Intersport for there continued support of local cricket.
The awards panel deliberate over a list of player performances for each month complied by results secretary Ian Hobson, with joint league chairman Bill Beckett and Maurice Gilliatt making up the panel of judges
The trio had a very difficult decision from 16 candidates.
