Congrats to Sheffield United
Congratulations to both Sheffield United and Derby County for a thrilling and exciting match.
In the last ten minutes the final score could have been 3-2, 3-3 or 4-2, which fortunately for us, it was.
It was great to see good crosses from the wings, which seemed to be absent from our play for a while this season.
Congratulations also to Kyle Naughton for a cracking first goal. As he seems to be performing well in most open field positions, could we see him in goal next?
Those who bet on Hulse scoring against us again have presumably now collected their winnings! Just a pity he's not still on our books, but we have to accept that Hulse and James Beattie could not be both retained, apparently for financial reasons, and we must congratulate the rest of the squad for performing so well without these two star players.
As it's a day for congratulations, plaudits also to Kevin McCabe and the board for reducing next season's ticket prices.
It can easily be forgotten in today's talk of television and advertising revenue that the most important people on match day, after the teams and the manager, are still the regular fans.
Exciting matches and reasonable ticket prices are vital ingredients in keeping the stands full, so we can "make the noise for Sheffield United, you know you can make the difference".
