Confirmed: Lupoli won't be back at Sheffield United
SHEFFIELD United's hopes of signing striker Arturo Lupoli have been dashed.
Fiorentina have announced the 22-year-old is bound for Ascoli.
The forward was tipped to join United this summer after spending some of the 2008-9 season on loan at Bramall Lane.
According to some reports, there was "no concrete offer" from the Blades and the ex Arsenal youngster plumped for the Serie B side outfit.
The Italian scored a fifth minute goal against Sheffield Wednesday in a derby in February, but couldn't stop the Blades going down 2-1 at home.
