JOSH Wale wants to get into championship winning mode.
The Brampton bantamweight, aged 23, is ranked number four in the British rankings and will make a big step towards fighting for the Lonsdale belt should he beat South African Michael Ramabeletsa tomorrow.
The bout will be over 10 rounds, a distance Wale has gone before in his defeat to Matthew Marsh for the English title in 2009, and after two quickfire wins in his last two, would ideally like to get some more rounds under his belt.
He told The Star: “Ten rounds would be brilliant for me going forward. I know that British titles aren’t always won in a few rounds so I need to have the experience of boxing 10 or 12 rounds every time that I fight. But, as always, if the stoppage comes against Ramabeletsa I’m not going to turn it down.”
