KID Galahad’s next fight sees him fighting for his first title.
The unbeaten Sheffielder, aged 21, will fight for the WBC International super-bantamweight title at Rotherham’s Magna Centre on February 18. The bout will be live on Channel 5 against former world title challenger Jason Booth.
Both Sheffield boxing legend Prince Naseem Hamed and multiple weight world champ Manny Pacquiao have held WBC international titles and Galahad, (real name Abdul Barry Awad) wants to be in the same bracket.
He said: “It’s an honour to be fighting for the title. I look to emulate what Naseem and Manny have done.
“Jason is an experienced operator who has fought consistently at high level and challenged for a world title, but come February 18, millions of TV fans will know who Kid Galahad is and that I’m the next star to come out of Sheffield.”
