LIAM Cameron has ended his training alliance with ex world champion Clinton Woods ... by text message.
On July 31, The Star quoted Cameron as saying there was no rift with the ex-IBF ruler and that Woods would train him for his next fight, following Cameron’s Central Area title defeat to Jez Wilson.
But yesterday Cameron ended their relationship, with Woods saying the text informed him that his boxer was going to different gyms in the city to gain experience. Woods said he was “not bothered” by the decision and said he hoped the fighter would learn from his mistakes.
In fact, Cameron has joined the Ingle gym in Wincobank.
Trainer Dominic Ingle said: “Liam has been with us to see how we work and I think he was a little surprised by the intensity our boxers reach when they train.”
