ADAM ETCHES is keeping his fingers crossed he will perform on the sell-out bill that will witness Ricky Hatton’s return to the ring.
The Sheffield middleweight, trained by Dominic Ingle, is promoted by Hatton, and hopes he’ll be on the undercard when the former world champion fills the Manchester Arena, on November 24.
“It would be a privilege if I was to get on that show,” he said.
“It is going to be an unbelievable night because Ricky’s return is brilliant for the sport. Boxing has missed him.”
But can Hatton be as good as he once was?
“Time will tell,” said Etches. “He is not short of money so he is coming back for the right reasons.
“Ricky is the type of person who will succeed whenever he puts his mind to something.”
Etches will be looking to extend his winning record to 10.
