Sheffield’s super bantamweight prospect has now stopped his last three rivals - the first two went south in 107 and 118 seconds consecutively.

At the weekend, his supporters had to wait a little longer, but only the third round, when he polished off Spain-based Nicaraguan Felix Moncada, at Bramall Lane.

The win moved the 23-year-old fighter to W10 L0, half of his wins coming by way of TKO.

Burngreave-based Yousaf, who turned pro in February 2015, can now expect to head for more prestige contests and titles.

The ‘Golden Kid’ could be the next big hit from the Ingle gym, following on the coat-tails of Kell Brook and Kid Galahad.

On Friday’s Dennis Hobson bill, there were wins for two more unbeaten home-fighters, cruiserweight Joss Paul (Eckington) and another super bantam Tommy Frank (Intake.)

Paul added a 78th career loss to Latvian southpaw Jevgenijs Andrejevs, stopping him two minutes into the fourth round. It was the bearded fighter’s fifth consecutive victory and he did better than Tony Bellew did against the same man, a points victory in 2008!

Paul chased his prey down in the ring, getting in some punishing combinations. And Andrejevs was looking for a way out of the ring well before Paul pinned him to the ropes with a barrage, the referee stepping in to halt the punishment.

Frank was praised by title contender and Sheffield Boxing Centre stablemate Sam Sheedy after dispensing with Sutton-in-Ashfield opponent Jordan Turner. It was a four-round points victory for the 23-year-old.

Sheedy posted on Facebook: “Tommy was mature and elegant in his performance. Nothing but class. I am more than proud in that man, had a lot going on last few weeks and kept his professional attitude. You’re a little star in the making brother.”

Meanwhile, Chris Smedley, one of Liam Cameron’s trainers has spoken of the future ahead for the Manor Park super-middleweight, beaten last week in Australia by Zac Dunn, for the Commonwealth title, saying the fighter still has to believe in himself.

“Liam will return to Australia early March to fight Blake Caparello or Renold Quinlan, a world title eliminator” he said. “They are both world class fighters but Liam knows he can now mix it at this level.

“His last fight against Dunn proved to Liam he has a world class chin getting through 12 rounds with a big puncher and also world ranked and former IBO world champion. Liam as took loads of confidence from the fight as it was him who was landing all the clean eye catching shots. He just needs to believe in his ability and let his hands go. If he does that I think he will shoot himself up there with the best.

“The Australian people loved Liam saying he looked class and he hurt Dunn at times. Also top promoter Brian Armatruda said Liam is a class fighter and very tough and they would love to see him fight in Melbourne again.”
