Kell Brook may be some people’s underdog for his world title challenge at the StubHub Centre, California on August 16 - but sparring partner Nadeem Siddique thinks the Sheffield fighter could enjoy an early night.
“I think Kell will knock him (Shawn Porter) out in six rounds, people might disagree with me, but that’s how confident I am” said Siddique, who has trained in the Brook camp in Fuerteventura, recently.
“Ofcourse its going to be a tough fight, they are both hungry fighters. It will be competitive but it is all about timing and distance and counter-punching.
“Kell is massive (for the welterweight division) and when he throws one of those stupid left hooks and Kell connects clean then we are going to find out what its all about.”
Siddique believes Brook is now of similar standing as other Ingle greats like Johnny Nelson, Junior Witter and Naseem Hamed.
“Kell has got the skills and the ability and power to become world champion.”
