Serge Ambomo and Jerome Wilson are likely to stage a re-match after a pulsating six rounder in Sheffield last month.

Ambomo, the Cameroonian refugee who fled the London Olympics, edged the contest, although the more skilled Wilson had his moments and felt hard done to by the referee Phil Edwards.

Ambomo’s Hillsborough trainer Glyn Rhodes said: “It looks like Wilson will get a re-match in September - which is great because it was a cracking fight.

“Jerome felt robbed by the verdict, so we’ll see what he brings next time.”
