RYAN Rhodes hopes to be back in action - and possibly in Rotherham - on November 26.
Sheffield’s light middleweight veteran has been licking his wounds since being comprehensively beaten by WBC world champion Saul Alvarez, in Mexico, in June.
Promoter Dave Coldwell is planning a November 26 show at the Magna Centre.
And Rhodes said: “That would be just the sort of time-frame I’d be looking for, for a warm-up before going straight into a European title challenge.”
Rhodes says present Euro champion Lukas Konecny will vacate the title now he is in a WBO world title square-up, later this month.
“I have got 10 weeks or so to get ready and then we’ll take it from there” said Rhodes.
Coldwell will have former Sheffield United footballer Curtis Woodhouse, 31, on his November bill, he will face 36-year-old Welsh welterweight Jason Cook in a 10-rounder.
Trainer Glyn Rhodes is delighted by a debut victory for Sheffield middleweight Dave Fiddler in Paisley, Scotland.
“David is 32 years old and on his debut beat fellow debutant and local kid Craig Kelly,” said Rhodes.
“It was a very hostile environment and he got cut in the third round but managed to stop his opponent late in round five at which stage we made a quick get away!”
