A SHEEPISH Liam Cameron had to drop his boxer shorts to make the weight in an almost farcical pre-match event in Sheffield.
Cameron, who faces Jez Wilson tonight at Don Valley in a Central Area title clash, was almost two pounds over the 160lb middleweight limit in his first attempt on the scales at G Casino.
He was given an hour to lose it and went for a run watched by his furious-looking trainer, Clinton Woods.
While there was no British Board of Boxing official at the event, as expected, MC Mick Goodall conducted ceremonies - although he was missing when Cameron returned to the scales. Again the 21-year-old was over and had to disappear for further exercise.
Goodall was back for the third bid. A nervous Cameron had to remove his underwear as the clock ticked towards 60 minutes and he sneaked home, beating the limit by a mere quarter of an ounce.
Earlier Wilson, 32, had sailed through the test.
