THE rest of the Ingle stable in Wincobank are expected to hang on to Kell Brook’s coat tails in 2012.

Trainer Dominic Ingle sees his other two premier fighters as super-bantamweight Kid Galahad and heavyweight Richard Towers.

With Galahad expected to feature on the undercard of Kell’s British welterweight showdown with Matthew Hatton at Sheffield Arena on March 17, Towers will fight at Ponds Forge a week later.

Ingle also wants to see former world champion Junior Witter contest for a British title in a last hurrah before calling it a day.

He told The Star: “We want to be getting Kell a world title fight by later summer, early autumn but it’s a big year for other kids in our gym too.

“Galahad is in and around British title level and he’s having plenty of good sparring against the best in the country and they’re not troubling him. Richard is still young by heavyweight terms and we’ll make a decision on him after David Price and John McDermott fight.

“Junior deserves for his career to go out on a high and we’re excited for this year ahead. Then there’s David Howe and Adam Etches who we want to keep busy too.”

Sheffield has never had to wait long for a frontline boxer to replace another and the waiting group need to be just as hungry.

“There’s always been somebody spearheading whether it was Naz, Johnny Nelson or Ryan Rhodes. Now it’s all about Kell Brook and it’s a great opportunity to get people in behind him,” he said.

“There are plenty underneath Kell Brook and they need to get the experiences and keep moving up the levels.”

Etches, Towers and Intake’s Scott Jenkins will make up the Sheffield contingent at Ponds Forge on March 24 whilst there will be a local derby at Don Valley on February 18 with Sheffield’s Kyle Winters facing Barnsley’s Ben Wager.

Belarussian Sergey Rabchenko is confident of ending Ryan Rhodes’ big time boxing career.

The Hatton stable-mates will meet for the vacant European light-middleweight on March 24 at Ponds Forge.

Rabchenko, currently training with his national amateur team, is unbeaten in 19 fights – with 14 victories inside the distance.

The 25-year-old said of the Sheffielder: “Ryan’s a former European champion and WBC title challenger, so this is a perfect chance for me to show I’m the best light middleweight in Europe and that I’m ready to step up to world level. Ryan is a great warrior who will not run away and accepts the risk to step up to the ring against me. I respect Ryan for this. But my message is: ‘You had this title before Ryan… now it’s my time.”

Towers needs to learn how to hit harder. Out of all the 6 foot 8 british bosers he is in best shape. Tyson Fury is out of shape and a bit loony. Price looks good. So does Howe.
