UNBEATEN Matthew Mallin will tomorrow step into the void to headline at the Barnsley Metrodome.
The Stairfoot light-middleweight who has racked up seven straight wins had been scheduled for an eight rounder support berth against Jimmy Doherty but a injury to Mallin’s stablemate Josh Wale has seen him bumped up to headline the show.
Mallin, 22, headlined the last of Carl Greaves’ shows there and won a Masters title in the process. He says he does not feel any added pressure now that he is defending the same title over ten rounds against Stoke’s Doherty.
Three other Barnsley fighters are on the bill while Ecclesfield light-middleweight Ryan Hardy takes on Welshman Jerome Samuels. Doncaster’s Danny Mitchell debuts.
