AMIR Khan’s first fight in the UK in two years - at Sheffield Arena on April 27 - will be screened live on TV by BoxNation.
Khan, the former unified IBF & WBA Super World Light-Welterweight Champion, takes on former world champion Julio Diaz.
The Bolton fighter, 26, says he is on the road back to regaining his world titles after his loss to Danny Garcia last July and has racked up a win against Carlos Molina last December, outclassing the unbeaten American and forcing him to quit at the end of the tenth round.
At just 26, Khan has faced and beaten some of the best in the business, including world champions Marco Antonio Barrera, Paul Malignaggi, Marcos Maidana and Zab Judah.
Khan said: “I’m very excited to be on BoxNation. It’s proved to be a great platform for boxing and on April 27 I can’t wait to display my skills against Diaz.
“I know Julio will be bringing it and is coming to fight but I’m determined to put on a show in what will be my first bout back in Britain in two years.
“I’m delighted we have managed to secure this deal and all I’m concentrating on is making sure that everyone who tunes in gets to see an exciting match-up.
“It will be a night not to be missed” said Khan.
On Friday, Sheffield promoter Dennis Hobson announced a world title fight at the Keepmoat Stadium - Doncaster’s home boy Jamie McDonnell taking on Julio Ceja on May 11. Hobson has yet to arrange the safety net of a lucrative TV deal, though.
