Kell Brook's next defence of his IBF world title could be held in Sheffield after all.
There had been suggestions the fight with mandatory welterweight challenger Kevin Bizier, who is from Quebec would be held in Canada or America.
A purse bid had been due to be staged yesterday, but that was postponed, says the Sports Mole website, as Brook's promoter Eddie Hearn secured home advantage for the Ecclesall champ.
Sports Mole reported: "An official announcement will be made later this week, but Brook's meeting with the Canadian is likely to take place in his home city towards the end of March. If he can overcome Bizier, Brook is hoping to agree to a showdown with rival Amir Khan at Wembley Stadium on June 4."
Fans will be hoping the scrap can be staged at Sheffield Arena, which has been a magical venue for Brook in the past.
Challenger Bizier, 31, has lost twice to Jo Jo Dan, an opponent that Brook smashed up in four rounds last year.
Details are expected to be confirmed later this week.
