Jake's tri and mighty
Twelve-year-old Jake Whittaker clinched the Tri-Box Competition title held at the Fitness Factory boxing club at Halfway.
The competiton tests the power, speed and fitness of the competitor, as they endure 30 seconds of star jumps, followed by 30 seconds of press-ups and then 30 seconds of corner-pad shuttles.
Jake amassed an impressive total of 106 repetitions. He was followed by Josh Harris (90 reps) and Lewis Mills (88 reps).
Assistant coach Sonia Davison was proud of all the participants. "It was a fantastic effort from everyone that took part," she said.
"It was always going to take something really special to reach 90 but to smash 100 was an absolutely outstanding performance."
