Kell Brook says his monster-pay out for fighting Gennady Golovkin is of secondary importance.
“Ofcourse the money is nice but I am a multi-millionaire already, I will just chuck this in with the rest!” he told The Star.
“This is my biggest pay day but money doesn’t belong to anybody. It’s just money.
“It would never change me at all. I am in this to test myself against the very best. And Golovkin (pictured) is one of the most feared men on the planet, people say he’s the pound for pound best” said the Sheffield world welterweight champion.
“I am on top of the world with this one.”
Brook says the size difference between him and middleweight (10 stone 7lbs to 11 stone 6 lbs fighting weight) is “not a big deal.”
He said: “We will be tweaking my nutrition but it means I can eat more and fuel myself properly. I will be smiling through this camp, not restricting myself like I normally do.”
Jet-setter Kell flies to New York for a press conference tomorrow.
Then he starts warm-weather training in Fuerteventura next week.
