YOUNG Sheffield boxer Waleed Din has a bright future in the sport according to trainer Keith Palmer.
Waleed, aged 19, from Sheffield Lane Top boxing club, won the National Clubs for Young People title at the under 48kg class C category.
Palmer says Din, who is doing an apprenticeship in joinery and carpentry, has got the ability to build on his second round stoppage of Kain Smart.
“Waleed has worked hard for the success that he has had and I am sure there is allot more to come from him yet. He has only been boxing for two years shows great promises and a great prospect for the future.”
Waleed beat last year’s junior ABA champion Dale Doody in the semi-finals to set up his clash with Smart.
His next bout is on Saturday in Portsmouth for another national title - the Senior Novice class A under 48kg Final.
