Doncaster puncher Jason Ball registered his third straight victory when stopping first-timer James Burke of Tyldesley in the fourth and final round in Wigan on Saturday night.
Having been forced to wait momentarily for the opening bell due to a brief appearance in the ring of an idiot clad in only boxing gloves and boots, Ball - dubbed ‘Daddy Cool’ - was quick to take control against a gangly, shaven headed opponent who had both height and reach advantages.
Time and again the more aggressive Ball, from the Carl Greaves stable, cut off the ring and unloaded against an opponent who appeared somewhat stunned by the sheer amount of punishment coming his way.
Well ahead on points it was ended by a two-handed assault with 36 seconds of the bout still remaining.
Sheffield-based Kuwaiti, Anwar Alfadli proved an awkward opponent for relative newcomer Kevin Satchell but he was unable to prevent the Liverpudlian improving to 4-0 with a 40-36 4x3s win whilst Doncaster light-heavy James Tucker pushed debutant D.T Price a little closer over the same four round distance before going down to a 39-37 defeat.
