Trainer Dom Ingle believes Kell Brook is facing a potential banana-skin opponent at Sheffield Arena on March 28.

Sheffield’s world champion takes on Romanian ‘Jo Jo’ Dan - an opponent whose quality was seemingly ridiculed by Amir Khan on social media this week.

But Ingle says that American Shawn Porter underestimated Brook last year - and paid the price by surrendering the IBF welterweight belt to him.

“Jo Jo is a southpaw, is awkward and fights coming forward. If you don’t get on top of him early on, it can be a very difficult fight.” Ingle said that if fighters think their rival is a “step-down” in class, that’s where they end up losing.

Promoter Eddie Hearn, who claims Brook could unify the division this year, says tickets for the mandatory challenge could be sold out in the next couple of days.
