British world champions Kell Brook and Carl Froch could be fighting on the same night - but on two different continents - on March 28.
Sheffield’s Brook is likely to defend his IBF welterweight at the Arena on that date, while there’s speculation that IBF/WBA kingpin Froch could appear on the same date in Las Vegas against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The BoxingScene media outlet believes that would accommodate a possible “UK/US Sky pay per view marathon.” Brook’s opponent could be Ionuț Dan Ion, the mandatory challenger, or Paulie Malignaggi. Meanwhile Amir Khan is sending out conflicting signals on Brook. He said: “I don’t think it will happen soon but it could happen towards the end of the year. It’s a fight that interests me.”
