RORTHERHAM’S Chad Gaynor was beaten by the eventual winner of Prizefighter, last night.
Glenn Foot claimed the first TV series trophy of 2013 courtesy of a victory over the previously-undefeated Dale Evans in the final of the welterweights III.
Sunderland-born Foot got the split decision.
The win, which earned Foot £34,000, means that he has taken his unbeaten record up to 10 bouts.
Foot made it through to the final of the competition at Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall with wins over Steven Pearce and South Yorkshire’s Gaynor, 21.
Gaynor lost his own unbeaten tag in the thre round semi-final on points decision.
