UNBEATEN prospects Jamie Sampson and Lewis Taylor can’t wait to fight outdoors at Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium - as long as it warms up a bit!
The Dennis Hobson promoted duo are on the undercard for Jamie McDonnell’s world title crack on May 11.
Sheffield Lightweight Sampson (7-0), aged 22, said: “With the weather we’re having at the minute it doesn’t seem real that we’ll be fighting outside but I can’t wait for it. I hope it will be a historic night.
“Another good six-threes will be good for me. I’ve got an eye on the fight between Andy Townend and Ben Wager. I’d love to face a big local derby one day.”
Taylor, 23, from Dronfield, added: “It’s a great occasion and boxing outdoors will be a new experience for us. I just hope it’s not cold!”
Taylor won the Junior Masters belt last time out, stopping Greg O’Neill.
