Sheffield-based Natasha Jonas and Nicola Adams made history when they became the first ever women boxers from Great Britain to qualify for the Olympic Games by reaching the semi-finals of the Women’s World Championships in China.

Teammate Savannah Marshall also made the semi-final but will need to win her next contest to guarantee a place as all four semi-finalists are from Europe and only three European boxers automatically qualify at this tournament.
