Tom Hill ABC boxer Conner Kelsall booked his place in the semi-finals of the Junior ABAs with a win in Liverpool.
Kelsall (42kg) won unanimously against Callum Burton from Middleton Select.
Sehraab Ahmed (46kg) from the Ingle BA stable could not join him as he suffered a third round TKO loss to Luke Fay from Moss Side Fire.
Through with walkovers are Saif Yousaf (40kg) from Ingle BA and Parson Cross’ Kieran Williams (80kg+).
Aspire and Sheffield Boxing Centre both put on their own successful bills scoring 14 winners between them.
Aspire had six winners on their show with Kingsley Gough, Sam Brooks and Ethan Otter all earning TKO victories.
Gough stopped Doncaster Plant’s Bradley Mason in round one. Otter also won in the first against Joseph Bourne from X Box whilst Brooks took out X Box’s Jack Wale in the second.
Ollie Sanders went the distance to beat Harworth’s Kieran Selby, as did Liam Wright against Jordan Williamson. Daniel Sweet was also victorious against Jacob Jackson from Aston.
Brooklyn Lewis lost a Sheffield derby against Marshal Joel (Lower Manor). Cory Robinson went down to Tim Fisher from Rawthorpe and Umar Farooq lost to Doncaster Plant’s Curtis Greaves.
Ethan Cain was involved in a skills contest with Bradley Barrass from Harworth.
Sheffield Boxing Centre scored eight wins on their bill.
Callum Ramsey got the ball rolling with a split decision verdict against Bryce Dury of Stamford. Leon Musson took a unanimous verdict against Sam Cadwallader from St Paul’s, Hull.
Sam Wragg made it three against Stamford’s Jack Race. Kane Salvin scored a spit decision win against Bridlington’s Billy Gibbons. Robbie Brookes earned a decision win over Harry Bell from Stamford in a crowd-pleaser.
Aaron Flyn was the more accurate in a good match up with Calvin Spencer from Oxers in Mexborough to get another home win while Jake Saunders got the better of Highfields’ James Wilson.
Keenan Wainwright outbattled Jimmy Joe Flint from Brodsworth. SBC’s Owen Durnan was beaten by Danny Evans from Burmantofts but gave a good account of himself. Senior Tommy Frank went down on points against Ingle BA rival Kyle Yousaf.
SBC coach Delroy Galloway oversaw his son Dempsey in his first skills bout. Dempsey put on a great display against Sam Tyers.
St Vincents took a pair of boxers to Hull. Blayne Oxley-Greaves notched his first official win for the club and Dylan Trever suffered a close points loss.
Millennium ABC had two in action. Matthew Carr got a win over the more experienced Vulcan ABC boxer Nathan Smith. Liam Courts was involved in a skills bout with Connor Knight from Tunbridge Wells.
Both boxers were cornered for the first by two-time national champion Ashley Shaw.
