Chad Gaynor is hoping to reproduce this moment.
Our picture shows him celebrating a dramatic first round KO over Polish welterweight Sylwester Walczak at Ponds Forge, Sheffield, earlier this Summer.
Gaynor, from Rotherham, will be back at that venue on a Dave Coldwell show on October 4.
The 22-year-old has a 13-fight winning record, the one blemish on his CV a defeat in the short-format Prizefighter Tournament, at semi-final stage.
Promoter Coldwell thinks Gaynor has a bright future:
“Chad is one of the best prospects in British boxing and it’s only a matter of time before people start agreeing with me” he said. “This is the kid who was eliminated at the semi-final stage of Prizefighter but was the name on everyone’s lips all the next week. The impact he made was huge. He spends a lot of time in the gym and he’s been sparring elite guys pretty much from day one so I believe it is only a matter of time before he starts getting the rewards that his hard work and talent deserve.”
Navid Mansouri, who beat Tyson Booth at Ponds Forge back in May, is also slated to be on the bill.
