Kell Brook has sent a cheeky message to fellow welterweight world champion Timothy Bradley: “Where do you want to get beaten?”

The Sheffield IBF title-holder says his promoters are close to signing a unification bout with the American in March.

“We are very close to making the Bradley fight and I’m excited,” he said. “I need this, something that will get me more recognition - and that means an opponent that will get the fans really talking about me.

“I don’t mind where it is, I’d prefer it to be over here but I could get up for a trip to Las Vegas as well. Where does he want to get beat?”

“I’m an undefeated world champion and I want to be out there fighting the best in the welterweight division. That’s how I’ll prove I’m the best. When I tell people what I’m going to do, I always back it up.”

Brook’s 36th pro fight had been scheduled to be against Diego Chaves in October, but the unbeaten Sheffielder was injured in sparring.

Sheffield’s ‘Superman’ boxer, Luke Junior, achieved his first professional win, over Marty Kayes in Leeds, on Sunday.

Kayes posted on Facebook: “Lost 38-37. Thought I’d done enough, but that’s boxing!”
