MARK Booth posted a 21-7 win for Armthorpe in their 152-126 Doncaster Bowls Association Midweek League Division One win over Carcroft.

Eric Wright’s 21-9 win was in vain for Thorpe Marsh Bentley as Andrew Jones (21-7) shone for Woodlands Park in their 150-114 success. Pilks Recreation B posted a 157-135 win over Eden Grove-Peglers.

Rossington’s Ken Sanders (21-4) and Ray Cibor (21-7) nearly put a dent in Woodlands Park’s promotion hopes, just failing to win the match for the away team.

John Clewer (21-5) was one of only two winners for Armthorpe B as Yorkshire Main clinched the Division Two title with a 142-119 victory.

Brenda Marrison (21-3) caught the eye for Bawtry with a 156-120 Division Three win over Hexthorpe. Alan Broughton (21-5) was the best of Parklands’ eight winners in their 168-104 victory over Thorne.

George Boothman’s 21-9 win was not good enough for Yorkshire Main B as Chris Case (21-7), Eddie Hailes (21-7) and Chris Haigh (21-9) all won well for Hexthorpe in their 143-121 victory.

Alan Love (21-0) and Paddy Moyles (21-9) were on top form for Bawtry B in their 141-112 Division Four win over Harvesters. Dave Adams had a consolation 21-5 win for UNISON B as Barbara Royston (21-4) and Criag Dennis (21-8) featured for Parklands C in their 145-109 Division Five victory.

Doreen Heptinstall and Alan Bell both won 21-6 for Brodsworth B in their 125-118 victory.

Libby Wheat (21-5) and Sam Davidson (21-2) were the best winners for Yorkshire Main C.
