NEW arrival Leon Britton revealed he snubbed two Premier League clubs to move to Sheffield United.
The diminutive midfielder, who has signed a three-year contract at Bramall Lane, completed his move yesterday after passing a medical at the club's Shirecliffe training ground.
Wigan, Burnley and Middlesbrough were among the suitors interested in snapping up Britton, whose deal at Swansea was due to expire at the end of the month.
But former West Ham trainee Britton said his mind was made up after speaking to United manager Kevin Blackwell and chief executive Trevor Birch.
"There was interest from some Premier League clubs and I spoke to a couple of people there but I decided that it was not right for me and that Sheffield United were," said Britton.
"It was not an easy decision to make as I've been at Swansea for a long time.
"But United are a massive club. I think they were averaging 25,000-plus last year in this division so I am absolutely delighted to be here."
