For the second time in a week the DBL Sharks have signed a Davis to the roster, with Jordan Davis will be joining the squad.
Jordan follows last week’s capture of Shaheed Davis, joining the Sheffield side following his graduation from the University of Tampa where he averaged 16 points seven assists and seven rebounds per game.
Following a stint in Chile, Davis has signed a one-year deal to the Sharks and will take up his place as point-off guard. Though American Davis is pursuing his ancestry passport from his grandmother who is an Irish-born citizen.
Sharks are excited to add the electrifying guard to the roster. It is Davis’ second professional season and he is excited to broaden his resume and exposure on a European platform.
Head coach Atiba Lyons didn’t waste any time signing the player after seeing him during the British Basketball Combine where he outplayed many high-calibre guards.
“I am very excited to have Jordan in a Sharks uniform,” said Lyons. “He is a player that does whatever it takes to win and has the ability to be a pass first point guard as well as score the ball if asked.”
Jordan has been made fully aware of the expectations to win in Sheffield and has been watching the teams developing roster with interest.
“I am excited to play for the Sheffield Sharks and hopefully bring more silverware to the city. I considered other offers but I felt most comfortable with coach Lyons after working with him during his combine,” said Davis.
“I believed that playing for the Sharks organization was the best opportunity for me. I look forward to getting to know my teammates, coaching staff and winning games.”
Sharks are organising a number of pre-season events where supporters can meet members of the rosta.
