MANCHESTER Giants coach Jeff Jones says his team will focus on stopping Sheffield Sharks Mike Tuck and Olu Babalola when his team visits the EIS on Sunday afternoon.
Jones, whose team beat the Sharks 99-87 in Manchester in September, said: “Sheffield have been like us this season playing teams pretty well but just coming up short of getting the win.
“For me Sheffield go as Tuck and Babaloa go. I know the Americans are their scorers but if Olu and Mike have big games they are tough to beat.”
Jones believes the victory against Sharks in the opening stage of the season will make little difference to Sunday’s match, which tips-off at 4pm: “The last time we played them we were still fresh new kids and I think we caught them off guard and wore them down as it was early in the season and I’m not sure how much of preseason they had.
“I know it will be difficult with Sheffield having home court advantage and also our away performances haven’t really been anything to write home about.”
