SHEFFIELD Sharks player-coach Atiba Lyons says his team will be ready and waiting on Friday for the visit of Mersey Tigers.
The Sharks were expected to beat the Tigers last week in Merseyside but were swept away 79-71 by their much improved hosts.
Lyons said: “We need to do a better job and be better prepared. They’ve added some pieces that give them a different look to earlier in the season.
“Everyone is fine and we’ll be ready for them on Friday.”
Sharks and Mersey, including this week’s match at the EIS, have to play each other twice more this season.
Winning the overall series is important to both clubs with play-off seeding at stake.Sheffield are sixth in the BBL and have hopes of trying to catch Glasgow Rocks in fifth, although any hopes of securing a top four berth - and a home match in the first play-off round - appear over after their double loss last week.
The Tigers are 10th six points behind Sheffield. Both have played 20 matches.
