Sharks haven’t seen Tigers best

MERSEY Tigers coach Tony Garbelotto is warning Sheffield Sharks to expect an even tougher opponent tomorrow night at the EIS.

The Tigers beat Sharks last Friday on Merseyside but the respected play-caller wasn’t getting carried away with that win: “I felt we played reasonably well in the second half but still below the level we are capable of. For them, I thought Jimmy Langhurst was solid and Mike Tuck was everywhere in the first half.

“We still need to improve in every area. We are still one of the most inconsistent teams in the league. We have to play harder for longer periods and we have to cut down on our turnovers.”

Sharks again have back-to-back matches this weekend with the long to trip to title chasing Plymouth Raiders on Saturday night.
