nate Reinking says Sheffield Sharks’ young bench players will prove be increasingly important as the season progresses.
The 38-year-old shooting guard has been impressed by the way summer signings Colin Sing and Zach Gachette have fitted in to the Sharks squad after moving from Essex Pirates alongside their former coach Tim Lewis.
Lewis is now Sharks director of basketball as well as Sing and Gachette’s coach at Sheffield Hallam University.
Reinking said: “It’s good with Tim Lewis up here.
“He knows them well so he is able to help them a lot. They’re fitting in well, they’re both athletic and I think you’ll see more and more contribution from them.”
Reinking, who is also studying at Sheffield Hallam, added: “Young guys have to learn to be consistent night in and night out.”
Sharks are hoping to make it two wins in a row in the BBL tonight when they visit newcomers Durham Wildcats for the first time this season.
