New deal for Sharks coach
SHEFFIELD Sharks have handed player-coach Atiba Lyons a new two-year deal as the club look to build on a strong second half to last season.
Lyons endured a torrid start with the Sharks languishing near the foot of the table for much of the campaign, and were knocked out of both cup competitions in the opening rounds.
However, by the end of his first year in charge Lyons had put his stamp on the team and they narrowly missed out on a place in the British Basketball League Play-off semi-finals only because of a last second three-point shot by Leicester Riders guard Bradd Wierzbicki.
