Sharks captain Adrian Anderson says the possibility of Great Britain guard Nate Reinking signing for the club is good news.

Veteran forward Anderson, aged 36, has already confirmed he will be returning to the Sharks for another season and thinks a move for Reinking, who had a six year spell in Sheffield before moving to Europe would be a good thing. And while the two have never played together for the Sharks, Anderson says Reinking has been one of his toughest opponents when they have matched-up in opposition.

“As a defender he is a real handful,” he said.

“He’s very clever the way he uses his body. Fundamentally he is a really good player. He jumps high, he shoots high and he is also left handed.

“All those factors make him tough to play against. He keeps himself in fantastic shape as well, which is why he is still playing at his age.”

Reinking, aged 37, has joined up with former Sharks coach Chris Finch at the Great Britain training camp in Surrey ahead of next month’s EuroBasket 2011 in Lithuania.
