Lyons welcomes back Ryan in time for play-off run
Back in favour: Ryan Patton was part of Sharks BBL Cup winning team for the past two seasons and led the team into the play-off final
SHEFFIELD Sharks player-coach Atiba Lyons says he is delighted to have Ryan Patton back in his squad.
The Sharks decided not to sign the 33-year-old point guard in the summer, but an injury to Nate Reinking saw the club move to bring the American onto the roster.
Lyons said: “I am pleased to have Ryan back in the squad, he brings so much to a team on and off the court, obviously it would have been better to have had him in from the start but we can only look forward now.
“I think with everyone playing and healthy we have a good look for the play-offs but we will continue to take it game by game.”
Sharks take on Guildford Heat tonight (7.30pm) at the EIS.
Lyons will be a game time decision of whether he will player after he was de-registered because of late payments of loans to the BBL.
