NEW Sharks signing Justin Dobbins says the club’s supporters can expect much more from him despite a sparkling debut.
Dobbins provided the muscle in Sheffield’s pre-season victory over MK Lions on Sunday afternoon in front of a packed EIS.
His 26 points were a match high total for a new look Sharks, who took their time to settle before picking up a fairly comfortable win.
Signed in the summer from Worcester Wolves, Dobbins said he was pleased to be with a club that will be contending for honours this season.
He said: “I am happy to be back (in the BBL).
“I watched Sheffield last season when I was with the Wolves and I thought they were a really good team who competed at a high level. They (the fans) can expect to see a lot from me. I like to play defence but I can also score. I like to get the crowd into the game; I bring a lot of energy.
“I’m used to the physical play and that’s what I want to bring to the game. Playing at the Wolves gave me my first experience of European basketball.
“Being at the Sharks I’m expecting to do different things. We’re trying to win the trophies.”
