THE Sharks are having their first ‘Super Sunday’ of the season this weekend as they ask fans to support their junior teams before the senior squad takes on Surrey Heat at the EIS.

As part of their obligations to being a member of the British Basketball League the Sharks, backed by sponsors B Braun, have developed their junior programme this season.

Head coach Atiba Lyons is initially running the teams alongside his duties with Sheffield Hallam University’s men’s squad, which includes current Sharks first team players Colin Sing and Zach Gachette.

Lyons retired from playing during the summer to concentrate on his coaching commitments.

The under 18’s second team will play Huddersfield New College on Saturday at EIS in the Blue Hall at 12pm.

And on Sunday the U16s take on Northampton at 2pm before the BBL game.

Entry to Junior games is free. A family ticket for four to the senior game is £25.
