SHEFFIELD Sharks will play Glasgow Rocks in the BBL Trophy quarter-finals after the Scottish club beat compatriots Edinburgh Kings on Saturday night.
Sharks moved into the competition’s last eight on Friday night with a nail-biting overtime victory at Manchester Giants when they threw away a winning position in the game’s final five seconds of normal time only to come through 85-73 in the extra period.
The Rocks beat the Kings 72-61 as they eventually made their class show against the Scottish National League side.
Sheffield have already knocked the Rocks out of one cup competition this season. They beat them 72-71 at the EIS in the BBL Cup in November.
Sharks also won the one BBL Championship match between the two teams so far this campaign, an 83-74 triumph in December.
