SHEFFIELD Sharks face their biggest match of the season tonight, says coach Atiba Lyons when they take on Glasgow Rocks in the BBL Trophy quarter-finals at the EIS (7.30pm).

After a disappointing league campaign the Sharks are to trying to reach their second knock-out tournament semi-final after they reached the last four of the BBL Cup before falling to eventual winners Leicester Riders.

Lyons said: “I think it’d be fair to say this is the biggest match we’ve played this season. It’s a good opportunity for us to reach the semi-finals.

“We need to be consistent and improve defensively.”

Lyons will leave it until the last possible moment before deciding whether point-guard BJ Holmes has recovered sufficiently from a shin injury.

Zach Gachette or Nick Lewis would replaced Holmes in the starting five. Sharks have beaten Rocks twice at the EIS this season but lost by 20 points away last Sunday.

Tickets are available for £5 if you follow the club’s official Twitter feed @SheffieldSharks. Further details of how to claim your ticket for the offer price will be available there.
